  1. Game of Thrones is a chunkster! I am on book three of the series, but am listening on audio. Have a great week of reading.

    1. Yes, it took me almost 2 weeks to finish Game of Thrones. Although part of it was because I wasn't eager to finish the book since I wasn't expecting a good end for the characters I like.

  2. I have yet to enter the Game of Thrones world ;) Maybe one day, when I get caught up on the books I already have!

    Have a great week!

    1. Is that even possible ? Every time I think I've almost caught up with my tbr list, I find new books to add to it :-)

  3. I just picked up Game of Thrones last month from my Audible subscription. Not sure when I will start. Westerfeld is an author I have been thinking of reading too. Would have to start that series.
    Enjoy your week!

    1. Overall, I liked the Westerfeld's Leviathan series. But my favorite was the first book.

    1. I loved his Percy Jackson series but didn't think too highly of The Kane Chronicles, so I'm hoping I won't be disappointed with Heroes of Olympus.

    1. Hope you'll enjoy them too. Unfortunately, I don't think they'll make it to books I consider as keepers.

  6. I really want to start the Game of Thrones novels -- I've watched some of the television series and loved it. And my son and I have really enjoyed the Rick Riordan novels.

    1. I'm in 2 minds over it ... on the one hand I'd really like to know what happens next and how it all ends, on the other I really don't like bad endings and it does seem as if the honorable characters won't be the winners in this one

  8. I need to read A Game of Thrones (Or, really, anything by George R.R. Martin) but I've found myself intimidated. Now I just saw your response to the comment above and I'm even more hesitant.

    Happy Reading!

    1. That depends I think. If you're the kind that wants a happy ending, like me, then its probably better to skip the book. A part of me wishes I'd done that because now I feel compelled to read...
