Teaser Tuesdays : Coraline by Neil Gaiman and Dragon Actually by G.A. Aiken

Teaser Tuesdays is hosted at Should Be Reading.

Teaser Tuesdays

Share 2 teaser sentences from your current read. Be careful not to include spoilers

Once again I'm sharing a teaser from a book I recently finished and the one I'm currently reading.

"There are those," it said with a sigh, in tones as smooth as oiled silk, "who have suggested that the tendency of a cat to play with its prey is a merciful one - after all, it permits the occasional funny little running snack to escape, from time to time. How often does your dinner get to escape?"

Dragon Actually (Dragon Kin, Book 1)
"Dragons have family times? Is that just a simple get together or are virgin sacrifices required?"

  1. Oh great teasers! I love the one about dragons. :D LOL! Great!

I'll have my teaser up tomorrow. :) Thanks!

  2. Great teasers, the second one cracked me up. My TT:

  3. Both teasers were great.

My granddaughter wanted me to read Coraline to her when she was two, but she got a little freaked about halfway through, so we put it aside for the time being. I'd like to finish it, so maybe we'll try again. She's seen the movie many times (that's why she wanted to buy the book.)

  4. I loved the movie Coraline (yes, I do occasionally enjoy children's movies) but I didn't know there was a book! Paying my local library a visit over the weekend now to track down this one :)

    Here's my Teaser.

  5. Both fun teasers! I enjoyed Coraline and really need to read more Gaiman
