Why I couldn't finish Promise Me Forever?
Well there were a few reasons but the primary one was because the story irritated me with too many cliches. The way that the heroine's servants talked, how everyone else behaved badly to make the heroine appear wonderful and how our supposedly wonderfully smart heroine was waiting for the hero to think up something brilliant to save the day. I don't know if this was historically accurate but it certainly doesn't have a very likable array of characters.
